From the north:
- Exit 149
(Byron)

South on Route 49 (45 miles of scenic
driving thru small towns-watch for the grand old historic homes and your
speed!)
- Route 49 takes you
directly into Americus, leading into Forsyth Street, which is a one-way
street heading west. Proceed thru the modern business district with retail
and fast food restaurants.
- Turn south (left) on
Lee St. (The main intersection in downtown Americus)
- Travel 3 blocks
(you will cross two traffic lights)
- Turn east (left) on
Taylor St. (runs only to the left and easy to miss. Look for the 1st
Baptist church on your right and Taylor will be just after it on your left)
- Travel several blocks
thru the historic residential district
- At the top of the hill
(at the stop sign) Rees Park is to your right and the Americus Garden Inn
is directly in front of you.
- Turn east (right) on Rees
Park and then left into our driveway
- Our reception entrance
is in the rear of the building as is the parking
From the south:
- Exit 101
(Cordele)
- West on U.S. 280
to Americus (approximately 35 minutes of pecan groves, cotton fields, and a
great view as you cross Lake Blackshear)
- 280 turns into Forsyth
St. which is a one-way street
heading west. Proceed thru the modern business district with retail and fast
food restaurants.
- Turn south (left) on
Lee St. (The main intersection in downtown Americus)
- Travel 3 blocks (you
will cross two traffic lights)
- Turn east (left) on
Taylor St. (runs only to the left and easy to miss. Look for the 1st
Baptist church on your right and Taylor will be just after it on your left)
- Travel several blocks
thru historic residential district
- At the top of the hill

Lamar St. (one-way going east and also marked as 280 East. You will turn
almost directly in front of the “Days Inn”)
- Go over the railroad
tracks on an elevated roadway and proceed about 6 blocks thru the historic
business district
- Turn south (right) on Lee
St. (The main intersection in downtown Americus. City Hall will be on your
left)
- Travel 3 blocks (you

- Turn east (left) on
